Report: Russian minister says Iran seeks to buy 100 SSJ100 jets
MOSCOW, Apr 3 (PRIME) -- Iran is interested in buying 100 Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) aircraft from Russia, Energy Minister Alexander Novak told Rossiya 1 television channel in an interview released on April 1.
“Our colleagues have confirmed that there is a certain agreement on 12 planes. We are considering 30 planes in the near future. This is only a beginning, because Iranians are on the whole interested in buying 100 SSJ100 planes. There are certain difficulties with getting permissions there, but nevertheless work in this direction is being held,” Novak said.
